The agrarian ecological production, also named biological and organic is a system of production of agrarian products, the aim of which is to obtain maximum quality food regarding the environment and without using chemical products (hormons, medications,chemical fertilizer, plant protection products)

The agrarian ecological production is regulated by some europe laws, (Reglulation CEE 2092/91), who establish the production rules, the labels and the control system of these products.

It is honey produced following the rules of the Regulater Board (Consell Regulador) of organic production: the beehives have to be at at least 3 km. of industrial zones, important roads and of no biological growing; total absence of antibiotics used to medicate the beehives in case of diseases, etc.
The organic honey obtains a stamp from the Regulater Board of Organic Production in the Autonomous Regin (Consell Regulador de la Producció Ecològica de la Comunitat Autònoma) corresponding to the production zone, they have a special logo that the bottled products have to have and a numbered label, assessed and controlled by the Regulater Board (Consell Regulador).

This control in the case of Catalonia, the Catalan Board of Agrarian Ecological production (Consell Català de la Producció Agrària Ecològica) handles with this, whom are the unic control organism and certification of all of the food products with animal or vegetal origin, transformed or not, obtained in Catalonia.
